Massage Therapy is a type of manual therapy that helps alleviate tension, pain and stress. It is safe for all ages and stages in life.

Your RMT will ensure to take a detailed health history, and discuss your treatment goals and plans before beginning a session. Treatment is typically performed with oil or lotion directly on the skin, but patients can also choose to receive treatment over their clothing if they prefer.

You're welcome to give as much feedback as you like, including whether or not the pressure is comfortable for you. Your RMT is always hoping to meet your wellness goals with you, so communication is essential!

Yvonne Moir, RMT is an evidence-based, trauma-informed practitioner. They have been providing inclusive care since 2009.

Yvonne has developed their treatment style to suit the needs and preferences of their patient base – from very gentle techniques to deeper work, Yvonne tailors their approach to ensure the patient is relaxed, in control of their comfort and feeling the benefits on table, and ideally as long as possible once they leave the session. They encourage self-healing, and focus primarily on how to help patients find routines and wellness patterns, to create empowerment instead of dependency.

Ongoing studies have lead Yvonne to focus treatment on chronic pain, especially with patients who manage mental health challenges, who are undergoing hormone replacement therapy (HRT), are navigating PTSD, and those who suffer from anxiety and depressive conditions. They have extensive experience in treating concussions, post-surgical care (including top-surgery and other body empowerment surgeries), weekend-warrior injuries, sedentary injuries, pregnancy-related discomfort, migraines, TMJ dysfunction and more. Regardless of the condition, there is always a solution for relief!

As a life-long student, Yvonne feels invigorated by learning how to support others through touch therapy, and is a promoter of mind-body healing. They value a comprehensive support from talk-therapists, movement coaches and other practitioners that are patient-centered -preferring to work as a village wherever possible to bolster patients. In a spa setting, it is essential that the patient feel this knowledge, while benefiting from the peace and serenity the Spa environment promotes!

Yvonne welcomes all people to their practice, as they approach care from a deep respect for humanity and vulnerability. They understand how challenging it can be to develop a trusting bond that can promote healing and shows respect to everyone who shows up for themselves.

As a professional musician, Yvonne spends their time between two careers, and feels as if they are living their dream life. They also travel extensively and spend as much time in the great outdoors as they can. Being physically and mentally fit drives Yvonne to be a better human, so they can care-take their community and thrive in life.
